When you have Eaton Square at Arlington Ridge’s brand new fitness center featuring state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment! Seriously I’m not paying for a gym membership as long as I’m living at Eaton Square.

The fitness center has to be my favorite amenity at the community. After work everyday I’ll change into my exercise outfit (yes I have an exercise outfit) and I’ll head over to the gym. No need to get into the car, no need for a monthly membership. I can get into shape at home.

What’s your favorite amenity at Eaton Square at Arlington Ridge?

Summer blockbusters come plenty and each is proceeding each.  Over the summer I watch more movies and I’m ready for the movie Salt.

Angelina Jolie portrays a government agent who supposedly is framed in an act against her country. There are certain parts of the movie that definitely make you wonder who the bad guy is or who the good guy us.

How do you freshen up your space? Do you use candles, reed diffusers, spray or plug-ins? Personally I love using reed diffusers, I love that they last so much long than anything else you buy and they are a very nice accessory to your apartment decor. First, living at Eaton Square at Arlington Ridge is a great pleasure. I love the amenities and features we get in our apartment. My neighbors are really nice and I enjoy living next to them.

Second, Alexandria VA was named number 47 of the Top 100 places to live in America by Money Magazine of CNNMoney! Their reasons are for the strong government presence and our strong support to the local economy. Not to mention our annual Festival of Arts, that alone brings tourists and national artists!

I think it’s then safe to say that CNN is right. We do live in one of the best places in America! Why do you love living in Alexandria VA?

Tell us a little about you (3-4 sentences) Born in Georgia,raised in Charleston,Sc then came to the Dc area for college, and decided to stay. I have an identical twin brother. Love listening to music(mostly gospel), collecting comics, and bowling.

If you were a animal what would it be and why? Most people say I’m a “Teddy Bear”, so i’ll go with Bear.

How long have you lived at Eaton Square? Since March 2010–and I love it!

What’s your favorite part about the community? I love the courtyard in which I live. Everyone is so friendly. It has enabled me to meet so many of my neighbors and we even had a BBQ this weekend!

Tell us a little about you (3-4 sentences): I moved here from Florida about seven years ago. I love the area! I am also a mentor for the SOHO (Space of Her Own) program in Alexandria.

If you were a animal what would it be and why? A cat. No responsibilities; get lots of love and take naps all day in the sun.

How did you hear about the contest? Got the flyer and thought “why not?”

What’s your favorite movie? Tough one. I’m a big movie buff. Favorite childhood movie: The Goonies

Do you have a Blog/Twitter/FB account - (if so please share if you don’t mind)? I don’t believe in twitter.

What do you plan to do with the $100 saved from the contest? Not sure yet. Maybe I’ll start a vacation fund.

When you live as close as Eaton Square at Arlington Ridge does to Busch Gardens I’m sure that most people would take advantage of their Virginia discounts. Like Florida, Busch Gardens allows  you to get different discounts depending on the ticket you wish to buy.

You have the option of buying a one park pass,  a park and water park pass, and a year pass,  it’s your choice. You also have the choice of building your own type of pass, while I have yet to build my own pass I believe this pass might be the best deal.

Eaton Square at Arlington Ridge is less than 30 minutes away from Williamsburg, VA where Busch Gardens is located.

Happy Fourth of July! The city of Alexandria celebrates the birthday of Alexandria and Fourth of July next weekend at Oronoco Bay Park.

Here’s the schedule for Alexandria’s birthday on  July 10th!
